RELEASE 25 Technology and Functional Upgrades

1.1 Augmenting JD Edwards EnterpriseOne with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Services (including AI Services)

This enhancement allows JD Edwards EnterpriseOne to natively integrate with over 150 services available on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), which now includes Artificial Intelligence services. All communication is securely conducted through the Orchestrator component, which, via REST API calls, can connect with OCI services such as Generative AI, Vision, Document Understanding or Object Storage.

A potential case study could involve the following steps: JD Edwards, via Orchestrator, transmits an image to the OCI Object Storage service. It then invokes the OCI Vision service to analyse the uploaded image and integrates the results of the analysis into the EnterpriseOne Quality Management process.

This enhancement is available to all JD Edwards EnterpriseOne customers, regardless of whether their platform is in OCI, another public cloud or on-premises architecture.

2.1 Improved PO Approval Mobile Web App

One of the most useful updates in this release is the new PO Approval Mobile Progressive Web Application. It lets users choose the right production environment when they log in, which is a big help for customers with multiple environments.

This change makes the whole process more flexible and reduces the inconvenience of managing different environments, saving both time and maintenance costs. Now, purchasing teams can approve POs on the go, while making sure they’re always working in the correct environment, keeping things simple and efficient

3.1 Enterprise Automation for Production Orders

The other major update focuses on Manufacturing, with the Enterprise Automation for Production Orders to Cost Update feature.

This enhancement gives manufacturing teams a clearer picture of how everything is running. This new EnterpriseOne page provides:

• Easy access to the right applications throughout the production process.
• Real-time alerts for issues like material shortages or delays in production.
• Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to help track progress and ensure on-time work order completion.

By simplifying the Production Order to Cost Update flow, this update helps different teams, from production to accounting, work better together, quickly detecting potential issues and making sure everything moves along perfectly
